    Hello all,

On Friday I added two new fish to my 75 gallon FOWLR, a lemon peel and flame angel. I acclimated them each for 3 hours prior to adding them to the tank. They are still very shy and will not eat and I'm afraid of them starving to death. I am new to the hobby so maybe I'm over reacting, but I would like to know if this is normal. The lemon peel will come out for a few minutes but gets scared when someone walks by the tank. The flame has been hiding in the same spot since I put him in the tank. I have not seen any signs of aggression between the fish. The only other fish are two ocellaris clownfish.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    What are you feeding?

Feed the tank and walk away so they feel comfortable enough to eat. Perhaps try to feed before the lights come on as well.

I absolutely love Lemon Peels, a stunning active fish but I doubt yours will be the exception to the rule regarding aggression especially in a 75 gallon tank.

My suggestion is to get a quality frozen food like Rods and some quality pellets or specific foods designed for Angels.

I am currently feeding Hikari frozen Mysis Shrimp. The clowns love it and eat fine. What are some of the better brand pellet foods?

You would be surprised, I have had fish go longer than a week without eating initially. With that said they are probably picking off pods and what ever little tid bits that float their way.
