Help with new tank 150gal

You don't want to use a grow light for plants!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I believe it is around 5000k(way to yellow/white/red spectrum) Not advantageous to corals just algae and plants!
I would go with atleast a 10000k bulb! Supplement it with actinic!

I need some help wit my light set up. I already got the PFO Dual 400w Metal Halide Lighting system but these lights are white wouldnt i need some blue pc lights or will i be fine with just the halides?

 

You will be fine with just the halides. If you want more color you can switch out the bulbs for a 14k, 15k, or even 20k's to get the blue back in there.
Or of course add some blue actinic tk5ho's, vho, or florecent.

 

are power compacts any good. I was thinking to set up a 36in retro fit 92 watt pc light

 

they will just give you the color your looking for but won't benefit the corals all that much due to the fact that they are about as low as you can get in power. But the prices are always the lowest as well.
