    Howdy folks...
Nitrates seem to run a bit high, not terribly, but not yellow..the next one to it, its 10 or maybe 20 on the color chart(very little difference in color there) ...everything else is good... change 5 gallons out every other week.(30 gal tank) Anenome is now good...after the water change today? I thought it was the Nitrates...but the water change did not seem to change it(nitrates) alot(a little) but not alot. truthfully, I was going to take my anenome in but after the water change today hes gone from a golf ball dwarf to a 6 to 8 inch wonderful spread !
I need help setting up photos...Any help would be appreciated.
Also I posted a help on my protein skimmer...I put it under protein skimmer but no one has give'n me any love...was'up? : )
    Later ya'all...standing buy.8)

I had a hell of a time posting pics on this site. Since, ARGAN was so nice to help me over and over again I'll do my best to help you. I use photobucket(it's free). Upload pictures from your comp. to photobucket and start an album(doesn't need to be more than one pic.)[IMG] after upload is complete left clickon img code it'll say copied(photobucket is opened in a seperate tab) go back to your post and hit ctrl v. Or, paste it to your post. Hope this helps. Karma to ARGAN!

To help with your nitrates. How long has your tank been running? How often do you feed? How many other critters do you have? What's the skinny on your tank? The more info the better. What type of lighting do you have for your anemone? Do you use a canister filter that hasn't been serviced? Sump with bio-balls etc. ?

If your saying your nitrates are below 10 I really wouldn't worry too much about them. you might find you can get them down lower once you can get your skimmer working

    Decrease feeding amount.

Don't add any more fish for while.

Increase frequency and amount of water changes to get to desired level.

    Keep close eye on.

How much frozen meat food stuff do you feed and how often ? also check the source water ..and maybe you are overly feeding the tank.. I have also seen people try to some different decoration in the tank that caused the problem.. Old sea fan skeletons and even old dried star fish.. to driftwood even..

I'm having the same problem but with my tank only being a little less than 2 months old I am gonna ride it out for a while. I have been feeding about half as much as I used to, I know I was overfeeding. Here in a couple weeks I think I will get a couple nassarius's just to help out.

Not really an answer to your question but just thought I would post my prob. too!!

I had my No3 at 20ppm for a while with no ill effects to my live stock. Anything at 20 and below is nothing to worry about, just like Jason has mentioned.
