Help with PM Bullet Skimmer Needed

I have a lot of water coming out so it's not my flow.. Today I took the injector apart more than once. If the black thing with the ball is not seated just right it bubbles but it may not be optimum. The squares that line up to seat it properly have to be just right.
And of course no debris in there. A few months ago I had some carbon bits get loose and that was screwing things up for a while. I can tell when it's going to skim well by the way it sounds and the bubbles appear very very white and fine. Also more water makes it through if the air is getting injected properly. When it's working properly I get the nice black skimmate in the collector.
Zack.. you asked what pump I have. I have a reeflo dart that runs my return, skimmer and reactors. I still haven't decided if this is going to be the best set up.

 

Yeah.. that's the stuff. It wasn't in the skimmer this week.
