    I am setting up a 105 Deep Sea aquatics aquarium.. 48" x 24" x 21" tall-

This is planned to be a mixed reef. For flow, I am planning to have a mp40w es, (which I have already), and then I was going to buy an mp10w es and sync them.

The tank is drilled 4 times, has 1 over flow box right in the middle, Has 2- 1" drains and 2 - 3/4" returns. I have a 40 gallon breeder that will be the sump. I want the return pump to also feed my refugium.

How much flow would be good to start with? Secondly, Which pump

Internal only is what I'm looking at. Thank you!

Whats the distance the water is traveling? thats a must to suggest a pump. is your sump under the tank or remotely set up elsewhere? specifically how many vertical feet are we talking? thats where the pump loses power, although it does horizontally, at a much lesser rate

Sorry, that would have helped, the sump will be directly underneath the tank.

It will pump up about 3 ft from underneath the tank. The stand is 36 inches tall on the inside.

I think a mag drive 9 would be plenty. I have the 7 on my 75 pumping up about 4 1/2 feet. you dont need flow from these, (thats your powerheads job) just to return the water back to the tank. There very durable and relatively quiet. it can vibrate but so can other pumps.

    Thats my vote.

Alrighty, I have a a mag 9 already. But If I could get away with something smaller, I would go for it. I will just use the mag 9. Thanks!

Well do this, hook it up and see if it suits you. if not you could get the 7. Although if you have the 9 i wouldn't hesitate to hook her up. It will do the job, im sure of it. Could always downgrade. See if someone will trade you plus a frag or summin.
