my current skimmer is the current Fission Power Protein Skimmer rated 210gal. ever since i got the thing from the lfs i've had issues i walked in wanting the AquaC 180 or 240 and he said never heard of them and said that this would do as he ran the same. so i said sure. the sock ripped in 3 days got current to send another they must have changed the design and recieved one 3 times the size of the one that came and the guy at current said it was the right one. but the main reason is i am just going to go with what i wanted in the 1st place the AquaC now i know the aquaC model ev-180 will fit in one of the two smaller parts of the Model 4 MegaFlow Sump. not sure if the ev-240 will fit if anyone has the setup or knows of someone that has it working that would be great and should i go with the 240 or 180?? i have a 180gal with the sump listed above. any help would be great

You would have to look up the specs from EV and determine what would fit, Sorry not a lot of help but at least I bump your thread for others to find

How much room do you have in your sump? Any chance of running an external skimmer like an Octopus DDNW-250 Needlewheel Recirculating ? Think you would get more bang for your dollar. Also they might use less watts than the pump needed to run your AquaC.

EV-240 is close to 7"x11" the EV 180 is 9"x5" .. If you can get the 240 in there then might want to consider a Precision marine Bullet 2 .. A EV 180 would be at the end of its range if memory serves me still ?
