Is there anything in the tank already?

Depending on that, with that size tank, you will be able to house multiple tangs of your choosing. Just be sure to choose tangs of different body shapes and of about the same size, so they don't bully or kill each other. Also, it would probably be a good idea to try and add them at the same time, so they can establish their territories right away.

In addition, if you are planning on adding any other, smaller fish after the tangs, it might go very badly for the new small fish. If you do want smaller fish in there as well, try to add them before you add the tangs. Generally speaking, it is a good idea to add the largest fish last.

I have a 75 gallon tank, with a 30 gallon sump and have a yellow and powder brown tang of comparable sizes and they get along pretty well. Unfortunately, my yellow tang beats the crap out of my chromis .

    Good luck.

There is nothing in my tank yet but the list is a dogface puffer, flame angel, coral beauty and then just some tangs. Im trying to find which geneus i should stay away from that will be too big. I like tangs acanthurus tangs and then either a blue hippo or a purple tang.

I personally like the purple tang, he is my favorite tang I have. Since you have more aggressive fish with the puffer, and angels a purple would fit right in. The acanthurus tangs can get very large if your talking about a Sohal. Any tang will benefit from being added in an established tank so that it can graze while getting acclimated.

I have a purple about 4 inches, with a blue 1.5 inches, they dont even notice each other. The purple is to busy swimming with the chevron, which is almost double his size.

Each fish is different, I have never kept tangs with puffers, hopefully someone else will answer that one for you. As long as you have alot of caves for the blue to retreat to if you add a purple, I dont see an issue.

Ok thanks ill go with those two then. Should i be adding them at the same time? And should one be bigger than the other or should they be around the same?

And would a maroon clown work in this tank as well? Ive heard theyr aggressive but theyr one of my favorite clowns.

I would stick with just one or two smaller tangs. Bristletooth tangs (Kole, Tomini...), yellow, or convict, are about as big as I personally would go.
