So, I have made my choice of fixture. Now I need to decide on the bulbs.
I am going to go with Geissman, I am just not sure what combination and would really appreciate some input. This is what I have started with as a working base.

    2 Aqua Plus
    2 Pure Actinic
    1 Aqua Pink
    1 Actinic Plus
    2 midday

I will be purchasing the Tek T5 Elite 8 lamp 48"

    What does everyone think?

I would suggest 4 Actinic+,3 Aqua+ and an Aqua Pink. The midday has a tendency to brown out/fade out colors. The other bulbs all have some actinic spectrum in their makeup. This should give you a 14000K look.
    order front to back
    Actinic+
    Aqua+
    Actinic+
    Aqua Pink
    Aqua+
    Actinic+
    Aqua+
    Actinic+

ATI blows DD Gmann away for crispness and PAR!!! personal experience here.

I also ran a KZ FP for 6 months and eventully didn't like it so I replaced it with a Blue+.

I'd go 4 ATI Aquablue Specials, 2 ATI Blue+, 2 UVL Super Actinic.

You should be able to grow tomatoes in the kitchen from the scatter of this setup.;D

Let us know what color you would like the tank to have. White, blue-white, or blue is will help us in our recommendations. Whiskey's will look almost white with a slight hint of blue. The one I gave will be blue-white.

Maybe, although I run a 6 bulb version of what I said and it does look blueish to me. Having said that one can always replace a white for a blue or vice versa if the color is not to your liking.

Agreed, it is a good idea to have a spare or two anyway. Didn't like the look with the FP. Tank too red?

Nah not too red, just not much of anything. I can see a little bit pastel like colors, but to be honest my reds and oranges actually look better to me under the my whites and blues.

Maybe for certain SPS the KZFP accents its pigments, but not so much for my LPS's, clams and nems.

As far as T5's are concerned I'm sold on ATI AB, ATI Blu+ and UVL SA.

Thanks everybody. I actually only put 2 of the midday in there because I like some white even though I know it does not do anything for the corals. I really appreciate the suggestions and am definitely rethinking the combination.

As far as tomatoes, yeah my husband would like that just fine. Actually, so would I. hehe;D

I haven't had the opportunity to play around with these different bulbs like so many of you.

Thanks for laying it out for me 2in10. That helps me a lot
