I know I am very paranoid but I need to ask for some more help. I added 2 power heads yesterday. a koralia #3and #4. awesome flow love it, I also added 8-9 snails and a couple hermit crabs. I have also added a refugium on tuesday of this week. after I added the refuge my ph finally went back up to 8.2 and has held there. now my question is: last night I went to bed the water was nice and clear. this morning it is very cloudy. also the GHA that I have had problems with is now turning white. is that a good thing? is that the cause of my water being cloudy? any help or thoughts would be great.

The GHA is turning white, because it is dying from lack of nutrients- which is a good thing. The cloudy water can be taken care of by running carbon. You'll want to run carbon 24/7 now that you have a fuge to prevent yellow/green and cloudy water.

hey Pecco - do you have any spare internal or external cannister filters , they are OK for running carbon in

Another thing to add is that by adding the fuge created a small cycle again. As long as you ahve macro algae in your fuge, it won't affect your system. The GHA is dieing off now, nothing to worry about. The macros will absorb those nutrients.

Awesome, just turn that light on about an hour before your display light turns off, and turn it off a little before your display light kicks on. Since you are running chaeto, it doesn't need to be on 24/7. :)
