Picked up a Super Skimmer 125 2 days ago to replace my pos Seaclone. It worked flawlessly and made more skimmate in one night than my seaclone did in 2 months. I had high ammonia (I assume because the seaclone was not working at all) and did a 50% water change....since then, even with the skimmer turned all the way down, it makes too many bubbles and fills up too fast. (about an hour to fill the cup, and not dark) Everything is at the right height according to the directions, and nothing is clogging my outlet. It is in my sump. I realize this is still in the 3 day break in period....is it going to slow down? and why after a water change would it go crazy?

Does it have anything that says it aids the fishes slime coat. If so those generally make skimmer go nuts. I would use Prime or AmquelPlus.
