    I don't know how to do all of that. And I have an aquaclear..well three of them. I guess this one at petsmart won't work for me?

    It looks like this one is designed to be placed in the tank or in your sump as opposed to being on a closed loop.

    Being placed in the tank is fine. But will this one work for the milky cloud in the saltwater tank. (I only have a slight clodyness every so often)

    that model is an insump or intank model. you don't have to worry about plumbing or tapping into your system. just drop it in tank (fully submersible) and plug in and you're set.

    I would get one with a wiper if possible to keep the quarts sleeve clean for best performance.
