    i need some help identifing some new critter i found in my tank. i was gonna change the carbon filter for my saltwater tank but when i took it out there seemed to be little black "C" chaped larvae looking critters on it bouncing around. what should i do with them?

    what should i do with it? how did it get in my tank? is that a good thing or a bad thing?

    They are good, they are small crustaceans similar to shrimp. They are food for your fish, and also consume detritus, scavenge any other food particles in your system, and some consume algae.
