Hello, I have a lot of questions....
    I have a 37 gallon tank.
1: I just want to know about these fish, if they are mean or hard, just anything about these fish will be appreciated. Also if all these fish would work together.
    Cave Transparent Goby
    Gold Assessor Basslet
    Red Mandarin
    Matted Filefish
    Bluestripe Pipefish

Also.. Is there any pufferfish, cowfish, triggerfish, tang, or clownfish that would work with these fish and the size of my tank?

    Thanks sooo!! much!!!

Well the Mandarin, pipefish, and I believe the file fish are all fairly reliant on live pods as a primary source of food. With the proper setup and prep you could probably get away with one but probably not all three. Clowns are a good choice for a tank that size, tomatoes tend to be a bit aggressive though so keep that in mind. There are no tangs out there that will fit in your tank so get over that desire quick. Most tangs need a 6'long tank minimum (100+gal). I believe triggers are the same as they get decent sized too and they aren't reef safe. Honestly not sure on puffers, never really looked into them.

+1 I agree ful heartedly with this, regarding puffers i would not attempt placing any species in less than 50 gallon. puffers are also know to nab at corals and especially calms, so this will also limit you future coral possibilities, furthermore puffers require special attention in regards to their constantly growing teeth.

this is coming from someone who has a blue spot puffer

+1 to all of the above. Mandarins are something that's on most of our wish lists, however providing enough pods is very difficult and unfortunately most end up starving to death. There are a few dedicated people who have been able to raise them in small tanks and train them to eat other foods via target feeding. Im sure someone with a few skills can give a link to those threads.I dont know much about pipe fish but i believe that they are difficult also. Fortunately there are lots of great fish that are not difficult that will work for a tank of your size. Dont get discouraged!!!! I think once you come up with a stocking list that will work, you will be surprised at how great your tank looks!

I have a 35 gallon hex and my stocking possibles are: pygmy angel, cinnamon clown, geometric pygmy hawk, magnificent firefish, pink and blue spot goby, yellow watchman goby, scooter blenny. These are mostly 3" or less in adult size and range from passive to semi-aggressive. Also, I'm not putting ALL in, but needed a list of smaller species to think about. My research tells me that pipefish don't really work with most fish and are dependent on copepods, along with the mandarins. As an option for a puffer, might consider a green spot puffer, but most places sell them in fresh water. You would have to slowly acclimate them to salt as they get older and only have one. Tangs and triggers get too big for 35-37 gallon systems. Just figured I'd give you food for thought :)

Definitely suggest a pygmy Angel, there are so many beautiful options in that category. Keep in mind they are reef safe with caution. Sps tend to be their favorite from what I've read.

Good answers so far.I would limit your clown choice to either a Percula or Occelaris.Other Clowns will become too large/mean in that tank.Pipefish/Filefish are better for a species tank to satisfy there special needs.Mandarins have been covered but heres some good reading on them.No Tangs, Triggers or Puffers as they get big/mean.I would also suggest caution when choosing a dwarf/Pygmy Angel as they can be quite aggresive in smaller systems and will pick at clam mantles and sps.

Vinny has a good point, didn't think about them being more aggressive in a smaller tank. I think it would still be possible but do your research and likely add him last to reduce the chance of him bullying the whole tank. Still run that risk though... fish are like women, never know what will work and what won't.
