Is anyone familiar with the "break in" period of an ETSS800 skimmer? I am sending tons of wet white foam down the drain. Does the valve that feeds the unit have to be have to be wide open? Can the white foam be collected and put back in the tank? Does the replacement water have to be premixed with salt? My tank is new and i have 60lbs of LR and 8 Damsels. Fish are about 1 week old.

    Any advise would be appreciated!

What pump are you using for the Skimmer? You have the gate valve full open? how high is the foam in the riser?

it will take afew days, to break in, turn it down, to where the foam barley makes it to the top, and let it run like that for awhile, then start adjusting it. thats what i had to do with my asm
