    just my 2 cents but ive seen a few aquac compared to needle wheels and IMO there really wasn't any compair. the needle wheels are far better. the needle wheel i have now even blows away my last duel beckett that was 4' tall and ran on 2-mag24's

    If you go with an urchin skimmer you can upgrade the pump to a Rio 1400+ or a Mag-3 for much better performance. If you go with the Urchin Pro, you can upgrade to a Mag-5, Mag-7 or Rio 1700+ and 2100+ pumps but you will have to get taller collection cups from AquaC for the Mag-7 and Rio 2100 pumps. The upgrade in pumps significantly increased performance.
    There are better skimmers than the Remora and Urchin skimmers but these are basically set and forget skimmers except for needing to be cleaned out every 3 months or so. And you must clean out the sludge from the riser tube on the collection cup weekly which is no big deal since you will be emptying the cup regularly.
