    i got this coral as a gift 2 day ago and it looked great .BUT i think the peppermint i have is eating it, i seer him picking at it last night and when i got home it looked like this. but i still dont know what it is. i think it is/was a black cherry , but any help would be great. thanks

    Can't tell by your pics... I will say that stores can accidentally sell you a camelback shrimp on accident. They eat polyps/corals.

    you are 100% right something has been nipping my polyps. i will get a better pic in a min

    Very true, sometimes its hard to tell the difference between them. Peppermints dont eat corals, unless there was a Aiptasia inbetween the corals. Luna

    Looks like Blastomussa, but can't tell very well given the original picture!
    Yeah, Camel Shrimp are no good!

    just a update, the mystery coral is doing a lot better since i took the shrimp out. the tissue is starting to grow back and the color is coming back. i will post a good pic of it hopefully this weekend
