    I am very new to this saltwater thing. I set up my tank new water to the right salt level, let it sit for a couple days, put in my live rock, then put in the fish so far so good. Going on a month now. My ? is i have this light the corallife aqua life 150 metal halide. What do i do with it or do i even need it

    you use it to illuminate a area, since its coralife brand its intended to light a fish tank.

    as far as needing it, what size is your tank and what do you want to put in it livestock wise

    Right now i have 3 clowns a damsel and 2 chromies. Oh it is a 55 gallon

    well the fish do need some lighting, regular flourscent will do.

    metal halides are for corals. but you would need another 150 to light your tank. since i assume its 4 feet long

    Yes it is 4 feet long and thank you for the fast replies.
