I found these in my 55 gallon saltwater tank. Can anyone identify? I have a zillion cleaner shrimp babies and don't want them eaten. Another question, my cleaner shrimp layed eggs 3 times last year(aug. 08). The largest are maybe 5/16" long. How long does it take to become full size. It doesn't seem like they are growing much. I feed the blue chromisis, yellow tang and tomato clown sliced up frozen raw shrimp and marine quizene. Also seaweed that the tangs like.

Please help on the worm problem. I accidently found one then two and seperated them in a bowl for now.

About 1/4" eh? Sounds like they're probably isopods or something similar and not likely juvenile cleaner shrimp. I haven't heard of too many people being able to reproduce cleaner shrimp in their home aquariums... too many factors at hand that would prevent this.
I'd be interested to see a picture of these "shrimp"

Here they are. Actually, just a minute portion of what is in the tank.

Edit: I had 3 adults and one died. Then another died and the female had the greenish eggs underneath and refused to roam the aquarium. After awhile she dropped the eggs and stuck around by them. Then she layed 2 more times within a month or so. From what I read they can deposit eggs 3 times. So anyway, it is happening and that is why we allow the algae to grow. It gives them cover to hide in.

Now, will those bristle worms kill the shrimp?

Those are not cleaner shrimp. They are Amphipods (sp)

    Edit:

They dont need the algea for cover they are breeding in it. They are a good thing :)

They come in on liverock and sometimes the little bit or rock that coral is stuck to. They at max I have seen get about 1/8 of an inch and normally can only been seen at night or if you look into dark sections of your tank. They are a good thing to have growing in your tank since a lot of meat eating fish will snack on them.

As for a photo for baby cleaners www.google.com click on images on the top and type baby skunk cleaners in the search bar.
