I have tried over & over to get an answer from my local aquarium store about my salt water tank.

My cleaners do not last long without dying. I have tested the water & everything is fine. My shrimp is growing by leaps & bounds. My crab is doing well, but my snails, conch ,etc. last no time @ all. I have a nano tank & MLPS tells me a sea anemone cannot be kept in a tank so small. I beg to differ. Mine is beautiful.
Anyway, on to my question. I want the name of a hardy cleaner that will do a good job on the glass, rocks & substrate, ( fine gravel ) One all purpose invert !

PLEASE does anyone have an answer ??????

I understand you say the water quailty is great but if possiable post all of you Chemical levels you are testing for so 3reef member's can help determine what may be the cause of the invert loss, Along with gal size of tank and of course type of filters being used...

    Best of Luck...

I apologize. I just took all my readings. They all fell in the acceptable level or better but I forgot to record them.

I have a 10 gallon tank with an aquaclear 10 filtration system & do a weekly water change.

    I have a beautiful sea anemone, a clown, a ,a conch & a shrimp ; all doing well.

The water is crystal clear & the aquarium is a is actually quite beautiful.

I have 2 astrea snails left & no nassarius snails as far as I can see. They don't even come to the surface when I feed.

My LPS says I may be starving them. I feed my fish every second day. I was using 1 teaspoon of marinvit & 1 of calcium weekly for my snails, inverts & coral. Some said it was good. Others said to stop.

    What are your feelings ?
    Thanks,
    Gary.

If i remeber right most salt mixes do have Calcium in it.. So weekly doseing may not be need because of the amount of inverts/corals are not using up whats in there in a week.. I would test for cal levels and if they are 450ppm + with out dosing extra i wouldn't use it.

If the conch you have is still around and kicking and is the first conch u bought, it may be killing/snacking on your nasarius snails.. That is what i am seeing from your post..

Hope somebody chimes in and helps out where i left off...

    Best of luck
