we have an iphone know. and its really cool. the lack of a keyboard doesnt bother me, anytime you need to type something it pops up. i also have tiny fingers and dont have the problem that some do with hitting the wrong keys when they type. we havent had any problems with at&t or them dropping calls or anything. i had every problem you could probably have with a phone about a year ago [all in the same week] and they helped me out a lot. but anyway... the iphone rocks. i want to get an otterbox case for it. those things are just about indestructable.

Tiger, look into the spec toughskin. All rubber but has a spine/skeleton to help keep the phone safe. Otterboxes are nice but if you are worried about running over the phone....don't get a $600 one! ;D

I've had palms, crackberries (which I loved) and this is by far surpasses them. The new blackberry (which was delayed) maybe close but will not be as simple. I have a good friend who waited in line for the orginal...he explained it best that it wasnt a phone or a PDA but a device closer to a laptop or extension of a computer that happens to be a phone. So true, I can access computers remotely with it (to bad I'm not an IT guy). As far as the carriers go there is no real difference just find the one that works where you use the phone the most.

BTW what are the app names that started this thread, I'd love to have one that I can photograph and track my stock and params....time to find a new toy. If you don't have them these are some fun apps...Fieldrunners, Mafia Live and ishoot.

there is a dosing calculator for the seachem products called "Dose", there isnt one that you can log parameters in yet :-[
but you can get a spreadsheet app and just type them down in there, and there is a notes app that will let you take pictures of things, write things down, all sorts of stuff and keep everything organized in it. it's called "Evernote". its the only free notes app that i have used so i'm not sure if there are any better ones but its pretty good. some other apps are Aquarium Abbreviations, Invertebrate Pocket Reference [$2.99 but its worth it, it has pretty much everything], AquaNotes [for the aqua controllers]. There are two pocket reference apps that are horrible. it gives a picture and a pretty vague description and isn't really helpful except if you want to know the scientific names. they have free versions and a version that costs money. The free ones arent even worth looking through lol. They are the "Invertebrati Marini" and "Pesci Marini".
