Helpful T5 info

    I've been doing some research into T5 lighting and found some interesting info. I've had questions about whether or not you can keep clams and sps with these lights and the answer seems to be yes.

    4x54w T5 bulbs=20,000 lumens and 92.6 lumens/watt
    1x400w MH bulb=32,000 lumens and 80 lumens/watt
    T5's also have a higher CRI than the MH

    Now I know that its really PAR that counts but I thought this was an interesting figure.

    Good to know. I have been very intrested in t5's latly. I really became intrested in it when I found I can build my own t5 retro kit for less then I can buy one for.

    That just flies in the face of all of those MH fans out there!!! I am a big fan of T5s. That just proves that I know what I am talking about when it comes to lighting, muhahahaha!
