Day 2 after the burn...... well the undamaged head is opening up good and the burned head is 1/2 open..good signs of survival.. i originally cleaned the first dead slime off threw in a capfull of kents iodine and a capfull of kents marine calcium along with coral-life booster. i cut the lights down to 10 hour cycle and at nite shut down all lights. anemone's dont like the no light issue but they will deal with it. if everything goes good i will leave my t8 nightlights on tonight and i will post tomarrow morning how they are doing..... thanks guys peace.....mufassa

Be careful dosing iodine. A high amount of iodine will wipe out your tank in a hurry. If you use iodine, make sure you test it regularly.

Agreed. If you want to treat the damaged coral with iodine, it's better to dip it in diluted iodine than to dump iodine in your tank.

I almost lost my current anemone by accidently dosing iodine, thinking it was my Purple Tech bottle. It shriveled up and spat out a good portion of its zooxanthellae. I had to do a few small water changes to get the levels back to normal and have been battling bleaching in the anemone for 3 weeks now. I still don't even know if it's due to my light being too much for it or what. Anyhow, be careful with the iodine. :)
