My clowns were chasing it around the tank a bit and the gamma was very fast. I didn't think much about it hiding in the rock since it was being harassed a bit. Seemed healthy, although it was only in my tank about 4 hours so I can't say 100% it was healthy. I did notice it breathing heavy in the bag it was shipped in.

I've never had good luck buying fish over the internet.

About 1/2 a mysis cube every other day.

This might not be a popular post, but...

I've never supported the notion of starving our pets for the sake of reducing tank maintenance. You can liken that to your Mother only feeding you once every 2 days to reduce dish washing when you were a helpless child who was totally dependent on her. These animals are accustomed to hunting and feeding all day in the wild; they don't have that option in the confines of our aquariums. The very least we owe them is keeping them well-fed the best way we can.

I feed my tank twice per day, more than double what the fish eat at each feeding to ensure that my CuC stays fed as well, and I have no problem with nutrients or algae. I did recently move most of my hermits into a species tank, but that was because they were getting too large and careless for my corals. They never showed any interest in harming or killing anything.

cgarner i would suggest doing some reading on home made fish food recepies, it really doesnt take much time or money to have a healthy stock of food for your tank.

i feed mine twice a day half a cube of a fresh fish and algae mix i blend together and then freez.

I mix my mysis with other dry flakes and pellets but can't remember the name of them off the top of my head.

Anyway I was told that feeding everyday wasn't necessary. All my fish have fat bellies.

Maybe I was given bad advice.

I feel like being a new add inherently makes it somewhat unhealthy. That's a long hard road even if it only came across country. The fact that ANY fish survives collection, holding, exporter, airport, airplane, airport, wholesaler, airport, airplane, car ride, lfs (or web vendor) car ride and then acclimation... SHOCKS ME
