im in about my 3rd week of cycling my tank . heres what im working with .

10 gallon drip filter setup under cabinet . minus protine skimmer i used to have one of those cheapo ones you get out of pet smarts . the one that someone DIY modded on the forum . very nice ideas by the way i had one and would of never thought of that befor hand . well when my tank fell in to disspare couple years ago i gave it away . but i have plans to get a better model this time around . im looking for one with a low profile as the space in which the drip filter is located is rather small . any ideas please . as i kinda dont wana get into hanging any more stuff on this tank then i need to .

here is a picture of how we are looking so far . about 30 pounds of LR about 10 dry from my previous tank that died off . i have two power heads in my tank right now that i need to do away with befor i add fish . they are awesome for circulation but i feel they will suck something up .
i threw one of them up on the side of my glass using the DIY magnetic holder . another awesome idea. but i used a two part apoxy as the drying time was driving me nuts .

me and the girlfriend were talking about the backing of the tank all night im going to go black in all likely hood . but im not sure as to how im going to do it . i have ruled out the roll out backing as the just look nasty i tend to think . so im thinking a 48 " plex glass backing painted black is how im going to do it .

and well thats basicly it for now . tell me what you think i love input .

its a 55 gallon tank . and i was under the understanding that i would only be able to keep soft corals with t5 lighting . which is a huge selection . but im not exactly sure atm which types i will be housing

It depends on what kind of t5 lighting you have.
if you have enough bulbs you can almost keep anything with t5's in a 55

    edit.
2 bulbs will prob be enough to keep soft corals and mayyyybe some lps near the top.
