So I have a 55 gallon right now that has been running for about 1 year and I wanted something with a little more width and volume. So I found this on craiglist. I am picking it up tomorrow and plan on starting my own build thread.

It is listed as 85 gallons.

It comes with this as well. [IMG]

If it has Bio balls I will just get rid of them.

I was told he bought it and never got time to put it up. So I was excited. It only cost me $499 and it includes the tank, stand, a sump/fuge (don't know dimension of the sump yet) and a 2 bulb t-5 light. I already got an 8 bulb T-5 fixture so I am not sure what I will be doing with the light.

So I picked up the tank yesterday. It is pretty awesome. I plan on going very slow. I think some of my problems in the tank that this will replace is the speed at which I tried to do everything.

Here are my first agendas and questions that come with it.

I plan on buying some base rock from Macro Rocks. What I am not sure of is how much to get. I personal think this new tank is a 75 gallon tank even though it was listed as an 85 gallon. I probably have 60 lbs of live rock in my existing 55 gallon. I plan on reusing some to seed the new rock. I think 50 lbs would be enough. I want to re-aquascape this to something better than my existing tank.

I have heard of people making pillars for the aquascaping. This sound pretty cool and I have seen some ways to do it. Do you think this would work well in a 75 gallon?

I am thinking of painting the back of my tank black. What type of paint should I use? Any other tips?
