    My Red Skunk Cleaner Shrimp molt like clock work every month.

    I have heard that a hermit crab will eat its old skin for calcium. Does this apply to saltwater?

    My molts are absorbed into the water column. Non of my hermit crabs have been seen nearby.

    What does the crab look like when it's molting? I think my hermie is molting but I've never seen it happen before so I'm not sure.

    Dude I found what looked like a dead hermit crab out of it's shell and I only have 3 of them so I was like awww... After a few hours I found all three hermit crabs and was thinking... Wait did I get a fourth from thin air? After looking around and reading this hehe molted piece... Stupid crab.
