OK I know it is a hermit crab but what kind and can I trust it? I found it in Daniel072s tank and he didn't know what it was and he didn't want it in his new tank so he was just going to "get rid of it". Well I brought it home and tried to find it on the web but couldn't. I got two out of his tank and one is a yellow footed hermie and that is just a algea eater. This other one if you can't tell from the pics is slightly hairy yellow on the legs but seems banded and not just on the feet like the other one. I will describe him better if you cant see him very well in the pics or you want me to look at other parts of him. He does slightly have yellow around his eye stocks. The tips of his legs are also very sharp and pointy more so than a regular hermie.

Its just a common kind. I have two of them. Im sure there is a specific name scientific name, but im also sure you could search all day and never find it. Maybe geek would know. He seems to know alot of latin names.

Looks like a Jade hermit crab, reef safe as long as they are well fed, same with most crabs.
