I have this big rock that had GSP's and purple mushrooms, with some other carpet type of mushroom that just started to extend some polyps... I will post a pic of that later since I don't know what it is.

But back on subject, the purple shrooms stayed put on that rock for the first 6 months, and for about month and a half now, some of the shrooms have detached from the rock and floated around. They don't seem to anchor anywhere for too long, but they're alive and healthy for the looks of it. They may be in the process of dying, or maybe that's just how it they spread?

Any input on that would be appreciated. I don't know if this is normal or not.

It is normal for them to move if they don't like where their at. Lighting, flow, over crowding can all be reasons they'll move.

Thanks for the reply! I was starting to get worried about them dying. They're in a pretty low flow area where I also keep my purple tip hammer which expands quite a bit.

My mind is at ease now. Thank you again!
