    ow okay the water has evaported a bit and i put in bottled water, that was recemmended by the LFS? is that okay

    plus do i need to do a water change do u think?

    If the bottled water was salt and not fresh then no you can not replace the amount of water evaporated with it.

    Without parameters for nitrates I can not really guess.

    I would proceed by buying your own testing kit if you have not. Do not add any supplements at all.

    Two dead hermits will not foul the water but probably enhance the beneficial bacterial bed/filter, not intentionally and not the way to go about it, bu the end result.

    Until you get the parameters down or have them within the desired levels I would not add anymore livestock.

    when the water evaporated i used bottled water like the man said at the fish shop is that okay?

    plus iv not done a water change yet as only got my first fish recently

    do i need 2 do one?

    Well, if you didn't do anything to start the cycle, then the death of the hermits should help with that, it's going to be tough on the fish, though. A month isn't really long enough for a tank to cycle.

    You need to get a test kit that tests ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and pH. You also need something to test SG, preferably a refractomer as they're more reliable than the other tools available.

    What size is this tank, and what's in it as far as sand? live rock?

    You can do one, but if you do not have current parameters, you are going about it blindly.

    i have got ph, nitrate and kh testers already

    plus i got all my water from the fish shop as well as live rock and sand
