    2 of my hermits have come out of their shells and died. I am guessing they were looking for new shells. Is this true? If so do you think my LFS sells hermit shells?

    Hermits also shed(molt) they're skin and exchange shells for bigger ones once they have out grown they're current one. Luna

    I concur! Check the shell - they may just be hiding in it and have shed their skin!
