    That's a freakin' beauty!
How do you keep him going? Care to share any husbandry techniques?

(FYI - please download a pic resizer program when you have a chance. 1.28 MB pics are a little extreme. ;) Thanks!)

    hi there.
the following is a guide of how i care for the anemone.
you need strong lighting i use 250w 14000k. with 1 actinic tube.
the anemone does not respond well to strong direct current especially laminar flow. the flow must be intermittent and not direct.
in my system i use carlson surge bucket to produce high turbulence then a quiet period as the bucket fills.
the anemone does not like any large adjustments of parameters. any adjustments must be slight and gradual.
i do not have a protein skimmer, but do not feed the tank as i have 5 small fish in a 400l tank.
to control biological filtration i have a deep sand bed and constantly use seachem matrix carbon and purigen.
i also feed when ever the anemone is fully expanded generally 2-3 times a week during daylight hours.
do not touch or try to move the anemone unless in any danger.

    Good advice.
With that surge and your care I can see why it's doing so well.
    Great job!

They are beautiful anemone's though, unfortunately, one of the most difficult to keep long term!
I love your surge bucket addition to your tank!! Any problems with salt creep, salt spray or water on the floor with that much turbulance?

    no not really.
the tank is open topped with the halides approx 16 inches away so salt does not cause an issue there.
salt creep is not too bad because dont forget the water level in the tank drops by aroun 3inches so once the initial blast from the bucket starts the spray just hits the exposed glass then is covered again as the water level; rises.
it is a bit more tricky monitoring evaporation though.

anybody got a link to this surge bucket? Seems like it might last longer than a squid (scqd or whatever) which seem to last 4-6months :(

the anemone is around 6 inches in diameter when fully inflated.
compare the anemone with the common clown around 2 inches long then you can judge for yourself.;)
