Hey, Im AJ. I live in LaVista,NE I have a 5 gallon FW tank setup with 3 tiger barbs and 7 ghostshrimp. I just recently acquired a 55 gallon tank and goodies, but mostly all Im not going to be using (at least yet) as I am getting into saltwater and using that 55 gal as a reef tank. Eventually I'll have it setup but Im building a stand and canopy to fit my needs for lighting and space for sump. I'll be sure to make a build thread when that time comes ;)

At the moment I live in an apartment and the idea was to set it up here...after looking into it and how much I need and need to do(since all I have is JUST a tank) Im looking at extending this for awhile + the time needed to start up a tank. Once I get a house I'll have the space and abilities to store water and such. Not to mention that I won't have to move the tank and disturb the ecology that will take time to be produced.

Really looking forward into making my own live rock.. that just looks fun as hell. haha.

Love this site, spent all day at work reading through it. :p

I'm just a couple hours north of you in Beresford SD. I have friends down there that are in the hobby so I make the trip about every other month. One stop I always make just to at least say "hi" is into Paradise Cove in Bellevue. Pretty decent prices and selection imo + I know where most of the frags originally came from lol.
Good to see some one close to home come aboard and welcome to 3reef.

With that and scouring craigslist for use gear I can salvage, and reading to know what i need to do for the future.. im pretty freakin busy it seems lol. Be nice to get away some and check a shop or two out.
