    Ive been researching saltwater setups now for over 6 months, but havent decided to take the dive until this week. I just ordered a 75 gallon tank with custom overflow. I already received a refugium setup to support a 200gallon setup and I intend to do corals and such. Im pretty excited about it. I want to do all natural filtration and get into coral propogation. Gotta help keep our natural reefs safe from people buying it all up ya know?

    I currently have a 5 gal FW and a 55 gal FW.

    On Order/Received in the last few days:

    -75 gal tank (48" x 18" x 21") w/ built on glass overflow
    -8 bulb T5 48" Lighting

    Still working on deciding my substrate. Ive been reading alot of mixed reviews. Anyways im glad to have found a forum. I hope to become knowledgeable enough to assist others in this phenominal world and hope others can help me with my 'newbie' questions.

    i was starting with the one that came with the refugium i got off of ebay. it looks pretty basic. i will more than likely be replacing it with a decent $200-400 unit. any suggestions? this is going to be a 75 gal tank (48x18x21). actually ordered it from glasscages.com (i like their product for the cost i hadnt found anyone better)

    i have honestly spent the last 3 months researching and reading about saltwater setups, reef, corals, etc. and damn i still have a ton of uncertainties and questions lol.

    the refugium i went with (mentioned above) is 20gal capacity and supposedly good for up to 200gal of filtration. i havent been able to find any thing that gives a good breakdown of what sized refugium would be best suited for 'x' gal tank.
