Hey... I just joined the group and I would love to hear back from everyone.

I recently had to sell my 90 gallon reef tank... My roommate decided that it was too much work to take care of...

I'm in the process of looking at the new Oceanic biocube 29 HQI. Does anyone have any feedback on it?

I was also wondering if I could put a Flame angel, Coral beauty angel, and a lemonpeel angel in it?

If I can't can someone give me a better idea of what can fit and what cannot please?

I'm used to a 90 gallon with plenty of room for mostly anything...

    Welcome to 3reef!!

IMO three dwarf angels are going to be cramped in a 30 gal tank. Your looking at 14" of fish at adult sizes. Typically the rule of thumb is 1" of fish per 4 gal of water for marine tanks.

Smaller tanks are a lot more difficult to maintain than larger tanks. You really have to be on top of your water parameters with a nano so if a 90 was too much work I wouldn't recommend a smaller tank.

For those of you joining us that are new to the hobby - the best piece of advice you'll get around here as a saltwater newbie is 3Reef's slogan

And for those experianced hobbyists joining us - it's still good advice :p

    Welcome to 3reef.
I agree with stepho, even one dwarf angel would be quite a load for a 29g tank. You can keep many corals and inverts, you should look into clownfish, chromis, gobies, six-line wrasse, blennies, cardinals, and damsels. Those are all fish that don't require as much space.

LOL, Do I dare suggest maybe it's time for a new roommate instead of a new tank? :joker::jester::devil1:
