Is there a way for me to check which internet ports are closed/open?

ive been having trouble to play Online and when i contacted "activision" they said that it could be because some ports might be closed.

although i dont know why they would close those certain ports at the middle of the semester....
If i could find out which ports are closed, maybe i could ask if they could open them again or something..

Usually, if you want to see all the used and listening ports on your computer, you'd use the NETSTAT command.

Open Command Prompt and type: netstat -an |find /i "listening"

You can redirect it to a text file by adding >c:'openports.txt to the command, if you want to: netstat -an |find /i "listening" > c:'openports.txt

You can also change "listening" to "established" to see what ports your computer actually communicates with: netstat -an |find /i "established"

In Windows XP and Windows Server 2003, you can type NETSTAT -O to get a list of all the owning process ID associated with each connection: netstat -ao |find /i "listening"

    Hope this helps you out.

If you are using a router it most likely isn't Windows, you have to open a port on the router to play games most of the time. What kind of router do you have?
