Hey Iam New to fish keeping and definantly new to saltwater. I go to the lfs and i read online info and i just luv how saltwater stuff looks and how beautiful things can be. I just made an acct. and ill look around the site later tonight to see if i can read anything about saltwater tanks and fish. But hopfully soon i can post and ask questions about it. I had a tank that was 29 gal and 55 gal both tanks had freshwater cichlids in them. But my girlfriend added them without doing anything to the tank (cycling and watching the paraments) also i have no idea on how to read the darn drip tabs to see the water condinition. Iam new and dunno how to read the tabs when it changes different color iam also using bad jungle brand ones. ty and hopfully ill do something with this exspereince.

So what are you thinking about with regards to tank size and what you want to keep?

I'm glad you decided to take the plunge into the saltwater hobby! Here on 3reef, starting threads is the best way to gain information about anything fishy. Hopefully you get the hang of the jungle strips, as they could be difficult to read. Did yours come with a color distinguishing strip?

Welcome!! Don't hate on a 55;), I have one, one of my buddies will be starting one soon, and 2 other friends that are my "go to" guys with questions started with 55's. Glad you found your way here, and it can't be said enough: go slow, research, and observe!!
