for a 12g nano you are going to need a wet/dry/fuge or a sump of some sort/fuge
maybe a small enough hang on back if any!

customizing an eclipse with a fug or a wet/dry IMO will destroy the all in one convenients of the Eclipse. But it's possible. It would likely mean you would have to cut the lid.
Having said that I still don't think a Mandarin is a wise choice. Regardless of your efforts to supply Pods or to switch them to prepared food. the tank size will only support a fixed number of pods.
There are a ton of cool fish for Nano tanks these days. I would look for something else
