Just a beautiful Frogspawn (FS) frag for 25 bucks at my LFS. I forgot to ask him how aggressive they are. You guys have experience please chime in! How is it next to a fox coral or a candy cane?

Whats up saint! I read that they pack a nice punch...I am looking to put it next to my fox coral a good 4 inches between the two but I want to make sure these guys can co-exist on the same rock.

not much just been really busy with school and mardi gras in new orleans is always hectic...as long as they wont rub against each other you should be fine..

i have hammers right by sps, and a torch next to zoas and have seen no harm...

that might be too close. frogspawn have sweeper tenticles that can be about 6" long(i think). they pack a powerful force and can kill nearby corals. they can be kept next to other like corals(torch, hammer) though.

Same here kid, midterms! I went back to school and its hard getting use to this (well maybe not that hard lol) the LFS i got the fox at had it next to what looked like a hammer the guy said they are of the same species so they do not attack. but that the hammer is VERY aggressive and would attack just about anything else.

yeah hammers, torchs, frogspawns are said to have pretty much the same potency of sting..i had a hammer fall on a torch for a few hours and both heads were irritated but both bounced back a week later..

I just read that they are part of the caryophyllidae family. Does this suggest they can survive close to each other or should I just play it safe and move my frog far!
