Some zoanthids! nice hitchhiker, hopefully you ahve some decent lights, they are a coral that is fairly easy to take care of, they need 3-5 wpg to survive and a little flow but other than that just sit back and watch em grow!

Welcome to the Reef!!! What type of lights do you plan to upgrade too, and are you panning a reef? If your tank is coral bound I would strongly urdge you to get Reef Crystals, IO is mainly for fish only tanks. Hope this helps some :)

If you switch to RC you will not need to supplement, unless of course you get into sps/lps and the like. How many inches across is your tank? I would aim for a T5 High Output setup, I don't know anything about T8's but T5's are very common and just might be giving metal halides a run for their money. Whoever told you there isn't much of a difference between IO and RC must be new to the hobby.... trust me, there is.
