Hey there 3reef

Really looking forward to being a part of this community!

I don't know if my story is different than any of yours but here goes. I started my first reef tank way back in 1989 when i was 23. It was a 90g mixed reef. Back then there were no Internet let alone forums to share info and experiences. I got to know every LFS within 100 miles (not an exaggeration).

Fast forward to December 2010: I'm married, 2 kids and all that entails. Well my 12 year old daughter tells me she wants to start a saltwater tank. I thought to myself this may be fun so, we started a 20g nano fowlr. She has taken to it like a natural. She created her own schedule for water testing, maintenance and water changes. She's 14 now and it's coming up on 2 years. All I can say is WOW!

All of this has stirred up a lot of memories from my past experiences so I'm going to get back into it myself. Im going to build a 75g fowlr (because my kids like the fish) but with the intent of changing it over to a softie/LPS tank as soon as I can.
