    Take out only 1 hand full of bio balls every time i do a water change why cant i take them all out and right after i takeom all out add a crap load of crushed premium live rock?? would that do sumthin to the tank if i did that?

    P.S the bio balls are in a 29 gallon bio cube

    because all your bacteria is on those bioballs. if you remove all of them instantly , then there is no bacteria in your tank to break down the poisonous chemicals ammonia and nitrite into nitrates. if you just throw in the live rock immediately , you will start from scratch and begin the Ncycle to build up your bacteria.

    if you take out small portions every week , as everyone suggested , your allowing time for the bacteria to cultivate on the new live rock you just inserted.

    I wouldn't risk a new cycle by removing all your bioballs at once.

    from what ive read there not very good and there non natural most people perfer live rock or chieto in there fuge doasnt premium live rock allready have micro algae and bacteria grown on it? lol i mean it is tookin out of the wild

    if its shipped youll have die off and a cycle. if its at the lfs (established) and goes straight home I dont see the problem.

    i dont really care where micro algae and bacteria comes from i do however care about the fish that are captured in teh wild by gigantic nets and tooken out of there house/wild
