Heya!

Hi everyone! My name is Dustin and I'm obviously new here. I do not currently have any tanks up due to frequent moving, but in the past I've have around a dozen or so tanks of freshwater consisting of simple rock and betta fish to dirt substrate and heavy plants to African Cichlids. Always had small tanks with a 30 long being my biggest.
I also worked in the worlds largest goldfish hatchery for several years. That was a really great work experience. Although I didn't do much of the technical stuff (I was 14) I did get to work with fish
I've read a lot on this forum when I had many of my tanks, but for the last five years I have not owned a single fish. What brings me back? Just yesterday I had the idea of starting my own maint. Company. I currently do pest control and thought that it would be much better to help people keep clean and living aquariums rather than killing their bugs. So, I will be reading a lot of invaluable information here once again and this time actually becoming part of the community. I'm sure everyone here reading this will agree that I'm going to need it lol.
Other basics about me:
I'm 25
Live in Indianapolis IN.
Married with two girls
Never run a saltwater tank but have read multiple books on the subject.

Welcome to 3reef! Best way to get experience is to startup your own tank (or 5!).

 

Honestly, I don't see how you can run a saltwater aquarium maint co. without having your own SW aquarium set up. Not all issues will be solved by reading a book.

I completely agree with this statement. Welcome to the reef! All other forums I've been a part of (usually car forums) troll and flame new comers with or asking advice.
