    Hello,
    I am new to posting but not to 3reef. About 3 yrs ago when I bought my new home I decided to fulfill a longtime interest in saltwater fish. I started my 55 gallon as a fish only with live rock and after finding this site I knew that it had to be a reef tank. After 3 yrs of learning "on the job" I finally put together a very simple (compared to what I see here) but satisfying reef.

    I have most of you to thank for your amazing tanks and excellent information that you willingly share. I play golf as my other main hobby and believe that I would be a Pro if I received this much "insider" help.

    For those of you joining us that are new to the hobby - the best piece of advice you'll get around here as a saltwater newbie is 3Reef's slogan
    "Go slow, let it grow."
    And for those experianced hobbyists joining us - it's still good advice :p

    Pics!

    Here are few pictures I took a few months ago. I am battling GHA for the first time and attribute it to heavy feeding (I had a blue jaw trigger). I returned him and started to feed less, more water changes and doubled my phos reactor efforts.

    I am almost GHA free after about 6 weeks. I don't want to go through that again any time soon.
