hi all. I'm new to reef aquarium

    Greetings one and all.
    We have only been in this hobby for a short while but what joy the reef system is bringing us. We only just got a bubble coral and for the first few days found a spot on the rock next to the filter, I moved the rock away from the filter a little bit and the clown fish finaly foound it and were loving it.It seamed to be thriving however today it has closed its self up and the bubbles have deflated:confused: . I have done a water test and everything is in the correct peramiters.

    what is it's flow like? they like lower flow..high will make their bubbles deflate

    is it a bubble coral or a bubble tipped nem
    if its a coral, being hosted by clown fish might cause it to deflate also?

    You don't want anything messing with a Bubble Coral.. IF that's what it is..

    Mod flow, Mod light.. And they like to be fed..!!
