Hi there! While I've had FW set ups for years, I've only had 1 saltwater tank and it was really short-lived because I moved out of the country for a while. However, the bug had bitten me and I was never cured because it just lay dormant in my system. Then about 2 months ago when, while visiting my friend's home for the first time, saw her hubby's reef tanks and knew then and there and on the spot that I was a complete goner... you know how it goes. Anyhow, I'm still in the decision mking process... I have invisible disabilities that make heavy lifting difficult so heaavy duty water changes won't work so I've decided to go small and do either 33 gal from scratch or go nano and do either an under 20g from scratch or buy a BioCube and do some mods on it (add a skimmer and power head pllus upgrade pump and lights, etc.). All choices have their merits so I've been doing my due diligence and researching and reading like crazy. What to do, what to do... LOL Anyhow, I'm hear to listen, to learn, to ask question (yes, some will be sillly) and to meet new friends in the process so I look forward to seeing you around. <smile>

Welcome to 3Reef. I would go with a 20 long and a 10 gallon sump to hide all the equipment. :)
    Enjoy

Welcome to 3reef. Just remember you can use powerheads for pumps so that you wouldn't have to lift the buckets of water. I have two of them with clear hose on the ends I just drop in bucket and turn them on. A lot less splashing doing it that way. Welcome to the saltwater world again.
