Just a quick hello. New here and fairly new to salt water. I've had fresh water tanks for years and have always wanted a salt and finally decided to try it.

Picked up a used 75g glass aquarium and stand on Craigslist, and bought a new canister filter and skimmer. Tanks is about 3-4 months old. Have 2 fish and about 40lbs of live rock so far. Have some feather dusters and 3 or 4 anemones that came with the LR. Have a 10g hospital quarantine tank as well.

Having a little trouble with some disease on my Tangs, but some folks are helping me out over in the disease area.

Look forward to meeting and talking with you!

    To 3Reef!!!

Salutations! Glad to see you found way here!

Hopefully you will be an active participant on 3Reef...ask lots of questions or post some answers and observations about others.

Any questions about aspect of your system...put them up here!

What Tangs?/What disease?... we have some real "disease" experts here, and there is little that has not been experienced by forum members.

AND...about those anemones that came with LR...send some pics or good description. Few good ones come "free" like that. Some very bad ones do. Good if you can identify early...

If just getting underway, issues like these better off getting taken care of right away, instead of dealing with later down the road...

    Scott

Welcome to 3reef, glad to have you aboard. Make sure you soak the Tangs food in Vit C or some sort of Garlic and it will help keep them healthy.
