    two tips for you

    dont buy the cheapest skimmer you can, do some research on here, and find out which one gets the best reviews of the ones suitable for the tank size you end up with

    lighting - same again , decide what types of animals you want to keep in your tank and then read up on the minimum lighting requirements for those species
