Hi Fin Red Banded Goby

I just purchased one of these little fellas to put into my 8G Nano, do these need to be paired with a randalli pistol shrimp or do you think they will feel comfortable alone? anyone have any ideas or experiences with them? I could've put the goby in my 75G but there are tangs and bigger fish in there so I chose to put him in my 8G nano, he is eating already, just want to know if it would make him happier if i bought him a shrimp to pair with or it's not really necessary? thanks in advance guys

 

It's not really necessary so if you don't want the shrimp, don't get one. Even if you did get one, there's no guaranty that it would pair with your goby.

 

You're missing out on some really interesting behavior if you don't get the shrimp too.
