    Of course I'm new here...and thought I'd stop to say a quick Hello to everyone! I'm a fairly new SW hobbyist...working at Petco & being the Aquatics specialist doesn't really count, since those tanks weren't mine. But I finally have the time (and money) to set up my own system, and its been running for about 3 months now. Everything's going good so far, a few hic ups here & there, but nothing I couldn't handle...anyway...I'm off to explore other threads, I'm in need of more info on that yucky cyanobateria which I think I might have right now...::)...have a blessed day everyone!

    Welcome to 3reef, glad to have you aboard. Hopefully you can take some good knowledge back to Petco and share as most stores are just out to make money and not worry about the health of the animals.

    Hi Otty, thank you! Lol, I don't work there anymore...but, I should...my wife still does, (we recently got transferred to the new one in El Centro) so I'm there all the time, and believe it or not, I still scrub tanks for them (someones gotta do it)... I was one of the few employees that did care about the tanks, and their inhabitants, so I try to instill as much of that knowledge into my wife's employees (she's the manager) as possible. The store is new, so are the employees...they're not going to care about what they're doing, if they DON'T KNOW what they're doing is how I look at it...

    Thats funny the local petco mgr here gets his info from me and knowlage is only mid grade but with 3reef i can always find the information
