    Hi guys!

    I've had freshwater aquaria for 23 years. Right now I am planning to move on to the reef world, so, I wish to learn as much as I can, in order to help my "transition". ;)

    A reef tank is a world apart from freshwater, although the basics are, obviously the same. But there are specific details such as light, currents, filtering (or should I say skimming... :)) and some aspects of water chemistry, that are much different.

    So guys, I'm sure you can help me with this, and hopefully one day I'll also be able to help others on this matter.

    I made the same transition about two years ago. Its not easy but being experienced with FW will give you a huge leg up. Best advice is to take it very very slow.

    Having just really got the hang of saltwater myself, I'll be glad to help with anything! I went from a 30 gallon cichlid tank to a 155 saltwater..Have to say I still love both, but the feeling of achieving the beautiful saltwater tank from loads of hard work really made it worth it!
